As the University of Mississippi continues to grow, we are making improvements to our campus that may temporarily interfere with parking and transportation. We kindly request that while on campus, please park as indicated. We also strongly encourage you to consider carpooling. Thank you for your assistance in making Commencement successful. For safety reasons, parking is not permitted along roadways, sidewalks or grassy areas.
Due to campus growth, construction projects may change parking availability. Please visit our information booths for up-to-date parking information or visit the website at map.olemiss.edu.
Due to Faculty, Platform and Student processional into the Grove for Convocation, no parking or drop-off will be available on University Avenue or the Circle. Please note that once the Convocation starts, vehicle access to the Grove is limited until Convocation and school ceremonies in the Grove conclude.
See our Online Campus Map for real-time Commencement information and the “Commencement” layer for pertinent day-off info
The university’s Department of Parking and Transportation (DPT) will offer a limited shuttle service that will be available Saturday, May 9 to assist people with disabilities and the elderly. We ask all guests who require assistance park at the new parking garage on Hill Drive and Manning Way.
You may call 662-915-7235 or 662-915-5203 to request assistance prior to May 9.
We have identified ADA/handicap parking areas for both the morning Grove convocation ceremony AND for each of the college/school ceremonies.
Shuttle and Guest Transportation Service
Shuttles on Saturday, May 9, will be primarily for those with special needs, not for the general public. Shuttles will include university golf carts with a variety of seating options and/or eight- and 12-person passenger vehicles.
Other Parking and Transportation
For guests not requiring ADA parking, we recommend parking in the parking lots designated for the school/college ceremony you will attend AFTER the convocation concludes. Updates available soon for the designated parking for each ceremony and venue location.
Manning Center Ceremonies (for those not needing ADA parking): Open parking from the Manning Center ceremony parking at South Lot to tent setup across Manning Way (southeast corner of Manning Center building/near track field).
Shuttle service coordinated by University Police Department (UPD).
